D VASES

2023

Mexico City

The David Vases series was born from an experimental approach to ceramic design, exploring modularity and the capacity for transformation. Inspired by the idea of interchangeable molds, this project began as an artistic proposal and has evolved into a utilitarian language that maintains its unique and expressive character.

WHAT IS IT?

It is a collection of ceramic vases created from modular molds that allow for multiple combinations. Each piece is unique and reflects the creative process behind its conception, from its structure to the use of a high temperature clay paste in warm and earthy tones.

WHAT IS IT FOR?

These vases have a utilitarian function but are also presented as collectible design pieces that tell a story. They represent the balance between art and functionality, being objects to decorate spaces and, at the same time, enjoy their aesthetic and conceptual value.

HOW WAS IT MADE?

The collection is based on a technique of modular molds, which allows the creation of vases with varied shapes and heights, as if they were a three-dimensional puzzle. The clay used gives a unique visual depth, accentuating the connection with the earth and the artisanal process. Each vase is unrepeatable, celebrating the beauty of imperfection and uniqueness in each piece.
